Since 2007, AGWO has been a loyal NGO working as a social justice nonprofit organizations. We believe in social justice for all, nevertheless of whether it is political, social, or economic.
In many areas, particularly the economic status of women, social inequality is at an all-time high. We focused on raising awareness and empowering the sector. The AGWO’s goal is to change people’s minds.
Whereas, Our organization works for marginalized sectors and provides them with formal sector jobs. We mainly focused on and areas.
However, through the boost of social justice, we create a better country for them. We aim at creating better job opportunities for the poor class in India. Education is the biggest weapon which serves as a powerful guide to raise awareness against injustice to them.
AGWO believes in spreading smiles through financial learning, women’s empowerment, and education. As a human being, it’s our responsibility
Now we will discuss with you all the points we have mentioned and share some important stats as well.
Education:
We provide quality education to the poor class. Education is a right for all. Just because they lack resources doesn’t mean that their dreams remain dreams.
We give them enough quality elementary education for all children, particularly girls and those from marginalized groups, in order to help individuals to become leaders of tomorrow and change makers.
People talk about school achievement as an important place for girls to realize their potential by gaining important skills and make up that set them on the path of social and economic power.
Our programs and projects work by creating equal, acceptable, and safe educational experiences for all. Our educational initiatives are inspired from the new National Education Policy 2020.
Now we are presenting facts that will be an eye-opener.
- School dropout is a serious concern after COVID. We have seen a steep increase in the dropout rate, which is a serious wake up call for us.
- It was surprising that 36% of boys and 21% of girls stated the reason they were not interested .
- It is accepted that poverty, parents’ attitude, and distance from school are the factors affect school dropouts.
What led them to this attitude?
- If a student has to repeat a class for one or two times, they lose interest in the education. This applies to poor children who don’t value education as their parents have a slow outlook towards this.
- Lack of interest is a major concern, and our NGO is trying its level best to get children interested in education through making it interesting.
Social Justice Nonprofit Organizations a Ray of Hope
Financial learning is an important factor of individual and economic growth. Let us first define financial learning for you.
Financial literacy needs not only earning a large sum of money, but also knowing how to manage it in order to live a better life.
We’ve all heard about saving since we were kids, and we’ve all grown up with piggy banks. When we begin to earn money, financial learning becomes increasingly important.
Budgeting, investing, and saving are all major part of financial learning. Have you ever been more of a spending than a saver?
As a social justice non-profit organization, we believe that financial learning should be taught to students in school because it is a life skill.
Social Justice Non Profit Organization Highlighting Informal Sector Facts
We can proudly say that India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. We are creating multiple job opportunities. The saddest part is that 90% of the population are working in the informal sector.
Many of us see it as a great opportunity that most of our population employed, but the sad reality of the informal sector is that many individuals are working in this sector, but these come under unrecorded jobs, which means that there is no social security in these jobs.
Moreover, it includes lower-skilled employees and less efficient workers. Informal sectors are unable to raise revenue, and as it is not a registered organization, exact data is not available. Due to all these factors, the GDP gets stuck. Our NGO works to increase the skills and livelihoods of slum dwellers.
Social Justice Nonprofit Organizations Empowering Women
Empowering women It’s been the talk of the town for decades, but we still have to talk about this topic. This means a lot has been said, but the implementation is yet to be done! I think it’s not something we should be proud of. We are in the 21st century and still have a stain and labelling for the development of women.
Steps taken by AGWO, a Social Justice Nonprofit Organization for Empowerment:
Girls’ Education:
If a girl educated in the house, the whole house is knowledgeable. We help girls to get formal education as well as skilled training, which they can practically implement in real life to solve real problems.
Our NGO provides multiple training programs for the betterment of
- Candle Making
- Envelope Making
- A Computer Literacy Programs
- Paper Handcrafts
- Personality Development Programs
- Call Center Training
- Tailoring Programs
These are a few initiatives steps for us to make women power n in India. Women are the foremost pillar of our economy and they act as its backbone. If the backbone is not strong enough, then the country’s growth impacted badly.
The main motive of our NGO is to put smiles on the faces of the poor group. Through various initiatives and programs for them.
