Health Organization Conducting Health Programs for Poor Families

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “It is health that is the real wealth, and not pieces of gold and silver.” Keeping this in mind, our AGWO health organization conducts a health checkup programme for poor families.

Health is the greatest asset a person can have. If you don’t have a healthy body and mind, your body will not perform well. What you intake in your diet is controllable. It is just like a savings account for you, you can’t buy it.

Health has always been a priority for everyone. You may have seen that every country is working towards making advancements in the health sector after the widespread use of COVID-19 in India. Health is given more priority, and the focus has shifted to digitization in the health sector.

The government has taken many initiatives for health organization in the pre- and post-pandemic phases, such as the National Health Digital Mission. Even after many efforts on the part of the government, the marginalised section still lacks access to health care facilities. This is due to the dismal investment in the public health sector, which is just 1.15 percent.

In India, the public sector spends 1/3rd, i.e. 30%, only. If you compare this between developed and developing countries, it is quite low. Developed countries like Germany (11.2%) spend more. Among BRICS other countries. India spends least amount of money in the health sector compared to others Brazil spent the most, ie, 9.2%, followed by most of Africa, Russia, and China.

If you compare with our neighboring Pakistan who is facing an economic crisis It is ranked above India in health care. This is the harsh truth of India’s health care system.Where people are not getting even a proper health care system.

AGWO Health Organization Sharing Stats on Health Care?

In India, a system of healthcare is multilevel i.e Public Sector and Private Sector. India is the second largest healthcare but there is a difference having a vast health care system. India is lacking in providing qualitative system in rural as well as urban area.

We all know that with proper health care facilities a person’s health becomes good. India which is the second most populous country and a multilingual and multi nation and accounts 1/6th of world’s population.

India has been improving in the health sector in the last decade and considerable work has been done related to health and hospital.  Delivering affordable healthcare for everyone is creating enormous challenges. A survey by Indian medical society has found that we are most urban centric. In India 75% of doctors work in urban areas.

AGWO Health Organization Work for Poor Families

Our responsibility is to care for our health, but the most underprivileged members of society are denied access to basic health care. They are unable to obtain basic societal services and, as a result, fall victim to a variety of chronic and acute diseases. AGWO, a health organization, has taken the initiative to eliminate these discrepancies. They provide the highest level of health care to youngsters, adults, and the elderly in Delhi/NCR region.

Health Care Facilities

The Health Organization has launched some primary care programs or activities. These programmes are based on the causes and prevention of communicable diseases, population control, people’s health, environmental sanitation, and many other things. This is being carried out efficiently, with positive results. The Delhi health organization is constantly hunting the people who live here and even offering them basic healthcare treatments and medicines.

We discovered the number of people who had serious and severe health problems after carrying out a survey in slum areas of the society. Malnutrition and deplorable slum living conditions are the primary causes of these health disparities. The air they breathe, the water they drink, and even the foods they eat are completely antithetical to normal and healthy living conditions.

As a result of all of these factors, health organizations are working tirelessly to bring the highest quality health care services to people’s doorsteps while also encouraging healthy awareness programmes. This has become a critical need here at the moment, and it must be encountered as early as possible.

Unprivileged Our Main Focus

The main objective of health organization is to meet the basic health and social needs of underprivileged members of society such as the poor, women, the seniors, and young kids. Aside from that, they are also dealing with specific health issues such as Aids, alcohol addiction, and many others. As a result, there is no doubt that AGWO health organization is another helping hand in eradicating inequities in society.

Residents of urban slums suffer from a variety of health conditions due primarily to two factors: first, a lack of education and thus a lack of awareness; and second, an unwillingness to forego a day’s wage in order to reach the nearest medical facility. As a result, healthcare for the poor and disenfranchised, which is in struggling need, goes unnoticed and untreated.

AIDS Awareness Programme

HIV/AIDS is a disease that is incurable after so many decades since its emergence. Many people are losing their lives. We, as a healthcare organization, deal with AIDS with a multi-sectoral approach. We run AIDS programmes in slums and provide education about safe practices.

Blood Campaign

Blood donors are real superheroes, and they save the lives of many. The Giggle Welfare Organization conducts blood donation campaigns from time to time. We have already organised many blood campaigns in the Delhi/NCR region, and we have been working with Thalassemia patients.

There are many misconceptions regarding blood donation. Due to this, our youth is always an active citizen in every cause but falls behind.

Disability Checkup Campaign

Many people in rural and slum areas are not aware enough about how to contact the concerned authority. We provide counseling sessions and vocational guidance for those suffering from mental and physical illness. Along with this, we also provide them with free medical consultation and an atmosphere where they can lead a normal life. We ran many campaigns for the disabled. We provide rehab centers for them.

Given that mental illness accounts for nearly one-sixth of all health-related disorders in the country, India has fewer than one psychiatrist for every 100,000 people. This has primarily been due to a scarcity of resources and expertise in the field. It is also true that, for decades, mental health has not been prioritized, and that, combined with low literacy and traditional and religious beliefs, awareness of it is also low.

Mental health professionals are primarily concentrated in India’s southern states and urban areas. The ‘gap’ is significant, particularly in rural areas. And the Covid-19 pandemic has only exacerbated the situation. The stigma associated with mental illness is one of the primary reasons why people with problems are hesitant to seek help, particularly among young people.

The Health Organization focuses on transformative social and economic justice, ensuring that homeless individuals, who suffer from mental illnesses return to their family members, re-enter the labour force, reclaim intimate bonds, and undertake lives of their choosing. Among its programmes is the sponsorship of psychiatrists and doctors for in-house patients.
