The equally  require direction, involvement, and responsibility. However the power of the youth must be harnessed  to address the country’s long-standing social ills and other issues. How National Youth Day Celebrated?

Every year, many Ramakrishna Mission centers, and branches celebrate equally National Youth Day, or Yuva Diwas, Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, with great zeal according to Indian culture and traditions. As a result every year, from January 12th to January 16th, the National Youth Festival is held, and here’s how it’s done:

  • During the celebrations, the Great Mangal Aarti, prayer songs, meditations, religious speeches, Sandhya Aarti, and other rituals are performed.
  • Parades, speeches, readings, songs, conferences, essay writing contests, seminars, and more about Swami Vivekananda are also held at various schools and universities.
  • Moreover, Students recite Swami Vivekananda’s writings and lectures to inspire them.

National Youth Parliament Important Concept

  • During one of his Mann Ki Baat sessions in 2017, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the National Youth Parliament Festival.
  • Its goal is to hear the voices of youth between the ages of 18 and 25, encourage them to interact with public policy issues, develop and enhance decision-making abilities, impart in them a respect for and tolerance for the views of others, and help them understand the importance of following the rules.
